About Us

Who We Are

Farha Construction is a privately held company headquartered in Wichita, Kansas that serves commercial building needs throughout the Wichita and surrounding areas. Founded in 1978 by Ed (right) and Ted Farha (left), the company employs around 20 people and handles new construction, expansive renovations, and remodeling projects from 500 to 100,000 square-feet in size.

If your sole selection criterion is to find the cheapest bid possible, we may not be the right company for you. Because even though we often deliver projects at less cost than other builders, our emphasis is always on giving you the highest, most lasting quality— no matter what your budget.

We achieve lasting quality by talking things through with you and your people. It’s important to establish a relationship up front that lasts through job completion and beyond. It gives us the chance to contribute our expertise and to find ways of reducing costs without affecting quality. In the long run, that’s important. Quality materials last. Quality craftsmanship reduces maintenance and saves money. A building of quality is a positive reflection on the people and company that occupy it.

We have attracted and kept what we honestly believe to be the best superintendents in the trade, and given them the responsibility and the authority to deliver Farha quality on the job site.

Our History

Finish carpenter Luca Cristiano wasn’t looking to hire when he stopped to visit Marge and Theodore Farha nearly 40 years ago. But as he walked into their house, he stopped to inspect a newly made bookcase. Speaking with a thick Italian accent, Luca asked, “Who made this?” Marge and Ted’s son, Ed, said he had. Luca thought a little, and asked, “So, you gonna come work for me?”

Ed took the job and two years later was joined by his brother, Ted. As the two apprenticed under Cristiano, they learned the finer points of the trade. They also took on a life-long passion for building. Coming full-circle, years later when Ed and Ted opened Farha Construction, Luca was one of the first people they hired.

It’s a nice story. But what does it have to do with the project you’re planning? Simply this: Watching and learning from a master craftsman taught the Farha brothers that quality work doesn’t have to be expensive. Excellence in building comes from thinking smart, planning carefully, working hard, and following through.

Our Philosophy: Quality Above All Else

Our emphasis is always on giving you the highest quality— no matter what your budget. Your construction project isn’t about us, it’s about you and your vision. A quality building is a positive reflection on the company and people who occupy it.

We achieve the highest quality of work by talking things through with you and your people up front. It’s important for us to establish a relationship that lasts through job completion and beyond. It gives us the chance to contribute our expertise and to find ways of reducing costs without affecting quality. It also gives us the opportunity to hear about your vision for your property, which inspires us to take our expertise in construction to a new level.

In the long run, quality is most important. Quality materials last. Quality craftsmanship reduces maintenance and saves money. Quality is what keeps our clients happy and brings them back.
